3D Printed Crokpads
Crokpad hoof pads
Designed for remedial shoeing, and for the stretch when a hoof is being medicated and cannot take a shoe.
Crokpads are 3D-printed pads for farrier work. They were designed by our owner, from 30 years of remedial farriery, and they are the pads our own team uses. We are now offering them to the trade and to owners who shoe with a farrier.
The material flexes and absorbs concussion where a steel shoe cannot. The heart-shaped frog relief keeps pressure off the frog, and the cup holds the pad in place under the foot. Sizes 3, 4 and 5 cover the range we shoe. The ribbed Crokpad sole is the ground face when the foot needs a wearing surface without a nailed shoe.
Remedial work. Use them under a shoe, or as a temporary pad, when the foot needs support, a change of breakover, or relief while it is brought back into balance. They are a farrier tool, not a cure. The plan still comes from the foot in front of you.
While a hoof is being treated. When a foot is abscessed, infected, or under a vet dressing and will not hold a nail, a Crokpad gives a compliant surface so the horse can be kept comfortable and the medication left in place. Fit it as part of the dressing or hospital-plate setup your farrier and vet have agreed. It is not a substitute for that treatment.
